Nita Strauss has once again taken the stage as the official guitarist for the LA Rams, this time performing at the team’s Salute to Service halftime show at SoFi Stadium. Joined by her husband, drummer Josh Villalta, the duo energized the crowd with a dynamic set of classic rock covers.
The performance featured a medley that included iconic tracks such as Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper,” and Foo Fighters’ “My Hero.” The set also included fan favorites like Godsmack’s “Awake” and a thrilling mashup of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and Metallica’s “Sad But True.” The lively atmosphere was enhanced by the couple’s chemistry on stage, making it a memorable experience for fans.
Reflecting on the event, Strauss expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to perform alongside her husband, with family members cheering them on from the front row. She has a long-standing relationship with the Rams, having first performed at a game in 2018 and officially becoming the team’s in-house guitarist in 2020.
Villalta, who is also known for his work with the metal band Choleric and on Strauss’s solo albums, shared his excitement about joining Strauss for this special performance. He remarked on the Rams’ support over the years and how this opportunity was particularly meaningful for both of them.
After taking a brief hiatus from performing with Alice Cooper due to maternity leave, Strauss is set to return to the stage later this month for Cooper’s Las Vegas residency. Fans can look forward to seeing her back in action, but for now, her halftime show with Villalta showcased her undeniable talent and passion for rock music.
