Swedish progressive metal band Katatonia has officially announced their upcoming Waking State Of Europe tour, set to take place in March and April of 2027. This tour will support their 2025 album, Nightmares As Extensions Of The Waking State, marking a significant chapter for the band as it is their first release without co-founding guitarist Anders Nyström.
The tour kicks off on March 31 in Hanover, Germany, and will see the band traveling through several central European cities before concluding in their native Sweden. Fans can look forward to performances in cities such as Dresden, Wroclaw, and Budapest, with the final show scheduled for April 17 in Lund.
Joining Katatonia on this tour will be Canadian post-punk band Bonnie Trash, adding an exciting dynamic to the lineup. While the band recently performed in the UK as special guests to Opeth, this upcoming tour will not include any UK dates, focusing instead on their European fanbase.
With a blend of haunting melodies and heavy riffs, Katatonia continues to push the boundaries of their sound. The anticipation for the Waking State Of Europe tour is building, as fans eagerly await the chance to experience the new material live.
For those interested in attending, a full list of tour dates and ticket information is available. Don’t miss the chance to witness Katatonia’s powerful performances as they bring their latest music to the stage.
